Becoming a Foster Carer with Kaleidoscope
At Kaleidoscope we want carers who are enthusiastic about becoming part of our team. Together we can help children to recover from bad experiences, understand why they behave as they do and help them change their behaviour where necessary. Together we can support them in their growth towards becoming happy, healthy and sociable adults - ultimately becoming good parents to their own children.
Can I be a foster carer?
We seek foster carers from all backgrounds and walks of life. The most important requirement is the ability to provide a safe and caring home and family environment for the children we work with. We require foster carers of all ethnic origins as we find children do best in homes that reflect their religion, language and culture. There is no age limit, people of all genders, races and marital status' can become a carer.
Please contact us if you have any queries.
Is there anything that could stop me becoming a foster carer?
In order to ensure the safety of children and young people, thorough assessments are undertaken in respect of all prospective foster carers, including police and criminal records checks. However, only certain criminal convictions will automatically disqualify you from becoming a foster carer.
