All placements of children and young people with Kaleidoscope foster carers are made and monitored in accordance with the Fostering Services Regulations covering England and Wales.
It ensures that:
All foster carers are properly approved through all stages of assessment, regularly reviewed and have a ‘Foster Care Agreement’ in place.
All children’s placements are made using individual ‘Foster Placement Agreements’ which are prepared either before or at the point of placement and which include essential information sharing and care plans.
Wherever possible, pre-placement planning is undertaken in conjunction with the social worker including introductions between foster carer and children. When Emergency Placement is required care and placement planning is given speedy attention to ensure that a child can be removed from danger into a safe family environment.
