Are you thinking of becoming a foster carer?

That's great news!!

We need more carers who would like to give a child the love they have been missing in their life. Becoming a foster carer can be extremely rewarding, not only financially, but because you and your family are giving a child the opportunity to have as near a normal childhood as possible.

We have, and are looking for, a mix of carers to enable us to place a child in need quickly for Permanent, Short-Term and Emergency periods. We also have, and are looking for, a number of families and individuals that offer respite care to the main carer - this is usually one weekend a month.

When you choose to become a Foster Carer with Kaleidoscope you can expect the following support, training and benefits:

  • Dedicated Staff to Support You and Your Family
  • Superb Training with opportunity to achieve NVQ Level 3 in Child Care
  • 24 Hour Support
  • Excellent Financial Incentives
  • Annual Holiday Payment
  • Annual Rewards Scheme
  • Social Events
  • It has been proven that children recover best from early bad experiences, develop and regain trust in themselves and their world when placed with a caring supportive family.

Unfortunately there is a shortage of some 10,000 foster homes in the UK so we are here to help you become a foster carer with all the training and support that you will need.

If you are interested in Fostering and would like to find out more please get in touch and we can answer any queries or concerns that you might have. We also offer an informative Introduction to Fostering event that gives you a short overview of what we expect from our Kaleidoscope Carers and, as importantly, what you should expect from us.

At Kaleidoscope we have been providing "looked after" children and young people with the support, stability and security they crave through high quality family placements, providing the opportunity for even the most challenging children in our care to achieve their full potential and to live fulfilling lives in the community.

Are you able to help reduce this deficit?

Whether you are an existing foster carer, are thinking of giving up your current employment to become a full-time foster carer or are able to offer some respite care to other foster families then we would like to hear from you.

We offer all of our carers:

We are looking for families and individuals who want to make a difference to the life of a child who has not had the best start in life.

Our Foster Carers come from widely differing background but their essential drive is a determination to give love and stability to a child. The diversity in the make-up of our carers is matched by the widely differing types of young people that pass into the care of the Kaleidoscope Foster Team.

Whether you are experienced in fostering or are new to the scene, at Kaleidoscope we offer foster care training and support to help our carers cope with the needs and demands of every child.
