Kaleidoscope is an Independent Fostering Provider offering a range of services centred on high-quality family care within fostering families.
The main focus of our work is in providing longer-term therapeutic family placements for children and young people, who are considered hard to place, because of emotional or behavioural problems that result from abusive or neglectful early experiences, or trauma. We also provide assessment placements for children and young people, and short-term mother and baby placements, with access to psychiatric and psychological assessment, observation, and treatment of parent/child interactions.
As a result of our high achievements we have become recognised as one of the leading foster providers in the country who can successfully help to restore the love, care and stability that these children crave. This results in us receiving referrals from all parts of England and Wales
We have been providing ‘looked after’ children and young people with the support, stability and security they crave through high quality family placements, providing the opportunity for even the most challenging children in our care to achieve their full potential and to live fulfilling lives in the community.
Working closely with Kaleidoscope carers we help them create a family environment in which children and young people can regain trust in themselves and their world, and grow into adults who are comfortable with themselves and at peace with others.
There are no shortcuts in this process - children need positive experiences at each stage in order to grow into mature, well-balanced adults who can sustain healthy and supportive relationships, and in turn provide good nurturing care for their own families.
Physical care – Trust - Love and Belonging -Self-esteem - Self-fulfilment
When all these needs are taken care of young people grow to accept themselves as valuable and capable, open to learning and change.
Our hope for each young person who comes to Kaleidoscope is that they will discover that they can say, with pride and confidence:
